TEXAS-SIZED ADVENTURE

THE GREAT TEXAS DRAGON RACE is a genre-blending MG novel of Texas rodeo Americana and contemporary fantasy. It’s WINGS OF FIRE meets THE HUNGER GAMES in a fast-paced competition story for people who want ALL the dragons.

TALL TALES OF A TEXAS AUTHOR

A writer was born.

As a kid, Kacy moved around Western Europe with her oil-company dad and kooky book-loving mother. Surrounded by art projects and rows of fantasy novels, her mom taught her about druids as her dad toted the family from castle to castle.

As they traveled, she consumed MG and YA book series while dreaming of dragons and building tiny homes for faeries in shoe boxes.

She landed in the Lone Star State at age 12, and later went on to pursue a B.F.A. at the University of Texas in Austin and a master's at the University of North Texas.

Today, Kacy Ritter resides in Houston, Texas where she writes SFF for children. Most of her friends are fictional characters.
